Nanogenerators on Flexible Substrates [PDF]
Nanowire based nanogenerators are fabricated on flexible substrates, which convert mechanical energy to electrical energy. The energy harvesting performance of the devices is significantly improved by optimizing the doping concentration of the nanowires and by integrating a nanocrystalline/amorphous Si:H single junction solar cell.

Cylindrical Rotating Triboelectric Nanogenerator
ACS Nano, 2013We demonstrate a cylindrical rotating triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) based on sliding electrification for harvesting mechanical energy from rotational motion. The rotating TENG is based on a core-shell structure that is made of distinctly different triboelectric materials with alternative strip structures on the surface.

Recyclable and Green Triboelectric Nanogenerator
Advanced Materials, 2016A recyclable and green triboelectronic nanogenerator (TENG) is developed based on triboelectrification and designed cascade reactions. Once triggered by water, the TENG can fully dissolve and degrade into environmentally benign end products. With features of rapid dissolution, reproductivity, and green electronic, the TENG has potential of serving as ...

A simpler, cheaper nanogenerator
C&EN Global Enterprise, 2019Triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) that convert the energy from simple body movement into electricity could charge smart watches and wearables. But they are complicated and costly to make. Now a team has made flexible TENGs by simply blasting organic materials with a laser to create graphene films (ACS Nano 2019, DOI: 10.1021/acsnano.9b02596).
