Two Material Properties from One Wavelength‐Orthogonal Photoresin Enabled by a Monochromatic Laser Integrated Stereolithographic Apparatus (Mono LISA)

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 13, April 2, 2025.
A single object with dual properties – degradable and non‐degradable – is fabricated in a single print simply by switching the printing colors. The advanced multi‐material printing is enabled by the combination of a fully wavelength‐orthogonal photoresin and a monochromatic tunable laser printer, paving the way for precise multi‐material ...

Kelvin Probe Force Microscopy in Bionanotechnology: Current Advances and Future Perspectives

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Kelvin probe force microscopy (KPFM) enables the nanoscale mapping of electrostatic surface potentials. While widely applied in materials science, its use in biological systems remains emerging. This review presents recent advances in KPFM applied to biological samples and provides a critical perspective on current limitations and future directions for

Nanomechanics: A new approach for studying the mechanical properties of materials [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Mitjançant l'espectroscòpia de forces atòmiques s'ha estudiat la resposta nanomecànica a la nanoindentació de la superfície més estable d'un material trencadís FCC, com és ara el MgO (100).

Interaction of human mesenchymal stem cells with soft nanocomposite hydrogels based on polyethylene glycol and dendritic polyglycerol [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Keeping the stemness of human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs) and their adipocyte differentiation potential is critical for clinical use. However, these features are lost on traditional substrates.

Hybrid Liquid Metal Cathode Enables High‐Performance Intrinsically Stretchable OLEDs

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We report a hybrid liquid metal (Hyb‐LM) cathode engineered via selective rupture of liquid metal particles (LMPs), forming a bilayer architecture with a surface liquid metal (LM) layer and underlying LMP layer, which has benefits of both LM and LMPs.

Indentation load-depth relation for an elastic layer with surface tension

open access: yes, 2018
Load-depth relation is the fundamental requisite in nanoindentation tests for thin layers, however, the effects of surface tension are seldom included. This paper concerns micro-/nano-sized indentation of a bonded elastic layer by a rigid sphere.

Oxygen‐Inhibition Driven Compartmentalization of Dextran Microgels: Toward Fusible Colloidal Biomaterial Inks for 3D Printing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Harnessing oxygen inhibition as a materials design principle enables the universal fabrication of core–shell microgels with tunable radial crosslinking gradients. This conceptually simple yet highly versatile strategy generates fusible colloidal bioinks that combine structural hierarchy with adaptive porosity.
