Ultrahigh Purcell factor in low-threshold nanolaser based on asymmetric hybrid plasmonic cavity
A low-threshold nanolaser with all three dimensions at the subwavelength scale is proposed and investigated. The nanolaser is constructed based on an asymmetric hybrid plasmonic F-P cavity with Ag-coated end facets.

A thresholdless tunable Raman nanolaser using a ZnO–graphene superlattice
A ZnO–graphene superlattice is synthesised via a spatially confined reaction. When illuminated by a pump laser, the Stokes' photons of the superlattice are greatly amplified by the surface plasmon at the interface of the graphene and the ZnO. Benefitting

Nonlinear Boost of Optical Angular Momentum Selectivity by Hybrid Nanolaser Circuits
Selective control of light is essential for optical science and technology, with numerous applications. However, optical selectivity in the angular momentum of light has been quite limited, remaining constant by increasing the incident light power on ...

Design and Analysis of a multiple quantum-well plasmonic Germanium/Silicon-Germanium nanolaser
There are many researches reported in using Germanium in Silicon based lasers but acquiring this potential for a nanolaser may also be important for development of a CMOS compatible plasmon source. In this paper, a Ge/SiGe multiple quantum well waveguide

Polariton lasing in Mie-resonant perovskite nanocavity
Deeply subwavelength lasers (or nanolasers) are highly demanded for compact on-chip bioimaging and sensing at the nanoscale. One of the main obstacles for the development of single-particle nanolasers with all three dimensions shorter than the emitting ...

All-Dielectric Nanolaser with Subnanometer Field Confinement
The ability to generate a laser field with ultratight spatial confinement is important for pushing the limit of optical science and technology. Although plasmon lasers can offer sub-diffraction-confined laser fields, it is restricted by a trade-off ...

How small can “Nano” be in a “Nanolaser”?
We show that the lasing threshold of the single mode metal-semiconductor nano-laser (spaser) is determined only by the photon absorption rate in the metal and exhibits very weak dependence on the composition, shape, size (as long as it is less than half ...
