Modified MXene Aerogel With Broadband Microwave Absorption Inspired by Melanophila Acuminata Beetle
This work introduces a novel biomimetic strategy inspired by the infrared‐sensing sensilla of the Melanophila acuminata beetle. We have designed a multi‐level aerogel, featuring a three‐dimensional carbon framework decorated with synergistic CeO2 nanoparticles and Ti3C2Tx MXene nanosheets.

Continuous‐Flow Microfluidic Synthesis Enhances C2+ Selectivity for Cu2O Catalysts
Microfluidic devices are used to prepare Cu2O nanoparticles under laminar flow conditions, which exhibit enhanced selectivity in the CO2‐to‐C2+ reaction due to their nanoporosity and high defect concentration. Cu2O prepared using standard solution methods displays decreased CO2‐to‐C2+ selectivity due to the absence of similar properties. Altogether, we

Probing Electrocatalyst Design for Product Selectivity in CO2 Reduction
Selective CO2 electroreduction is controlled by catalyst structure, dynamic surface reconstruction, adsorbate interactions, and reaction microenvironment. This review summarizes Cu‐ and non‐Cu‐based catalysts, single‐atom and molecular systems, degradation pathways, and operando/computational strategies for steering CO2RR toward hydrocarbons ...

Liquid Storage Characteristics of Nanoporous Particles in Shale: Rigorous Proof
Different from conventional reservoirs, a significant proportion of oil is in an adsorbed or even immobile state in shale and tight rocks. There are established comprehensive mathematical models quantifying the adsorbed, immobile, and free oil contents ...

Sheet‐Size‐Dependent Mosaicity of 2D Phyllosilicate Membranes
This study explores how the size of 2D vermiculite sheets affects the structure of laminar membranes. High‐resolution x‐ray diffraction reveals how sheet size governs structural disorder and crystallinity. These changes directly impact ion permeability.

Characterization of electrokinetic and membrane properties of nanoporous polyimide films via measurements of time-resolved pressure-induced potential [PDF]
Charged nanoporous films have interesting ion-separation properties essentially controlled by pore-surface charge density. This (or a related zeta-potential) is often estimated from the so-called streaming potential. However, with nanoporous membranes in

Inspired by biological ion channels, an AB‐staggered β‐ketoenamine‐linked COF enables rapid hydrated‐ion transport through a biomimetic dehydration‐compensation mechanism, where carbonyl‐rich convergent channels partially offset ion dehydration energy. As aqueous Zn battery separators, the COF membranes suppress parasitic reactions and dendrite growth,

Porous Ultralow‐κ sp2‐Bonded Boron Nitride Thin Films as Copper Diffusion Barriers
Porous sp2‐bonded boron nitride (p‐BN) thin films with an ultralow dielectric constant (κ = 1.77) are directly grown on Si substrates via RF magnetron sputtering. The films feature uniform nanopores (1.85 nm), high mechanical stability, hydrophobicity, and excellent Cu diffusion barrier performance even at 3 nm thickness, offering a promising solution ...
