Proton Activity as a Promoter for the CO2 Electroreduction to Formic Acid in Acidic Media
Challenging the standard of proton suppression, this research identifies high proton activity as a crucial driver for high formic acid production rates. The resulting design paradigm highlights that balancing proton and CO2 concentrations is the key to achieving high formation rates and selectivity in acidic electrolytes.

Nanopore sequencing technology: nanopore preparations
Trends in Biotechnology, 2007For the past decade, nanometer-scale pores have been developed as a powerful technique for sensing biological macromolecules. Various potential applications using these nanopores have been reported at the proof-of-principle stage, with the eventual aim of using them as an alternative to de novo DNA sequencing.
