Optical Interferometric Properties of Iridescent Nanoporous Anodic Alumina

open access: yesProcedia Materials Science, 2014
AbstractHighly ordered nanoporous anodic alumina (NAA) membranes with varying pore properties were fabricated using two step electrochemical oxidation of aluminum. A study on optical reflective interferometric properties of NAA was conducted. The influence of pore properties including pore diameters, interpore distance and pore lengths on the ...

Enhancing Organic Light‐Emitting Diode Performance Using Naturally Derived Diatomite: A Cost‐Effective and Eco‐Friendly Strategy

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 14, Issue 6, 9 February 2026.
Diatomite‐based light extraction structures enable enhanced photon outcoupling through multi‐angle scattering and far‐field redistribution. By harnessing the unique scattering behavior of diatomite, this approach introduces randomly oriented scattering centers that effectively reshape internal light propagation.

Enhanced Energy Harvesting Performance of Biodegradable Polylactic Acid/3D Anodic Aluminum Oxide Composite Triboelectric Nanogenerators

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 12, Issue 4, 18 February 2026.
Polylactic acid (PLA) embedded in 3D anodic aluminum oxide (3D‐AAO) yields triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) with ɛeff = 5.1, delivering 20V and 108µW both per cm2. These agglomeration‐resistant, compostable/biocompatible devices retain 95% output after 104 cycles, enabling robust self‐powered Internet of Things (IoT) sensing.

Silicon nanopore array structure using porous anodic alumina

open access: yesActa Physica Sinica, 2009
A free-standing, bidirectionally permeable and ultra-thin (500—1000 nm) porous anodic alumina membrane was fabricated using a two-step aluminium anodization process, which was then placed on top of a silicon film as an etching mask. The pattern was transferred to silicon using dry-etching technology, and the silicon nanopore array structure was formed.
