Fabrication of Anodic Nanoporous Alumina via Acetylenedicarboxylic Acid Anodizing [PDF]
The nano-morphologies of anodic porous alumina formed via anodizing in a new electrolyte, acetylenedicarboxylic acid (ADCA), are described. Anodic oxides grew uniformly on the aluminum at voltage of 87.5-95.0 V, but a burned black oxide film was formed at higher voltage.

Advanced Nanoporous Anodic Alumina-Based Optical Sensors for Biomedical Applications
Close-packed hexagonal array nanopores are widely used both in research and industry. A self-ordered nanoporous structure makes anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) one of the most popular nanomaterials. This paper describes the main formation mechanisms for AAO,

The nanoporous anodic alumina oxide formed by two-step anodization
Abstract The nanoporous anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) was fabricated by two-step anodization technique. The effects of anodization electrolyte and time on the pore diameter and structural properties of the AAO were investigated. The Field Emission-Scanning Electron Microscopy was used for the analysis of the surface morphology of AAO structure.

Nanoporous anodic alumina reduces Staphylococcus biofilm formation
Staphylococcus epidermidis and Staphylococcus aureus, two bacterial strains commonly associated with biofilm-related medical infections and food poisoning, can rapidly colonize biotic and abiotic surfaces. The present study investigates the ability of anodic alumina surfaces with nanoporous surface topography to minimize the attachment and biofilm ...
