Synthesis of MgAl2O4 nanopowders
Inorganic Materials, 2011A procedure has been developed for the synthesis of MgAl2O4 nanopowders with a characteristic particle size of 10–40 nm. Translucent hydrous xerogels have been synthesized as precursors to MgAl2O4. The synthesized magnesium aluminum spinel nanopowders are promising for the fabrication of optical ceramics.

Gas-fluidized beds of some nanopowders exhibit a nonbubbling fluid-like behavior as seen for conditioned fine powders. For example, powders of moderate density nanoparticles, such as silica nanoparticles, can be fluidized by a gas in a nonbubbling fluid-like regime.

Magnetism of Zn0.98Co0.02O nanopowders
Physica B: Condensed Matter, 2010Abstract We prepared Zn 0.98 Co 0.02 O nanopowders by conventional sol–gel method. The powders were sintered at different temperatures. The X-ray diffraction patters showed only wurtzite structure without any impurity phase, better crystalline structure and larger grain size with higher sintering temperature. The magnetic measurements showed that all

Luminescence of ZnO nanopowders
Radiation Measurements, 2004Abstract The luminescence of ZnO nanocrystals prepared by different methods was studied under pulsed electron beam excitation. It is shown that the luminescence intensity depends on the nanocrystal sintering conditions and does not depend on the nanocrystal size within the range 10–50 nm.

Origin of vacancies in the large-sized SiC nanocrystals (higher than 10 nm) has been investigated using theoretical band structure calculations and experimental electronic paramagnetic resonance (EPR) measurements. Influence of geometry sizes on appearance of concrete vacancy has been studied.

Metal nanopowders were found to affect the stability of hydrophobic emulsions. A nanoreagent as effective as highly nonionic demulsifiers was found. It can easily be separated and retains its efficiency after repeated use. The mechanisms of the process were discussed.

Flowability characterization of nanopowders
Powder Technology, 2015Abstract The applications of nanopowders are increasing significantly over the last years. In most of these applications, the flow behavior of the nanopowders seems to be a complicated, multiparametric but critical issue for the proper design of the processes.

Consolidation of ceramic nanopowders
Advances in Applied Ceramics, 2008AbstractThis review is dedicated to the problems of nanostructured ceramics consolidation.Laboratory practice in recent years has displayed several potentially important technologies for consolidation of ceramic nanopowders, such as spark plasma sintering, high pressure sintering and rate controlled sintering. The grain growth factor in these processes

Plasma synthesis of nanopowders
Journal of Nanoparticle Research, 2008There is a huge variety of plasma processes for synthesis of nanoparticulate powders. They may be grouped with respect to operating temperature, which is the essential parameter with respect to the properties of the products. In view of industrial production, the highest degree of maturity is found in high temperature processes working under ambient ...
