Aharonov-Bohm phase operations on a double-barrier nanoring charge qubit

open access: yes, 2006
We present a scheme for charge qubit implementation in a double-barrier nanoring. The logical states of the qubit are encoded in the spatial wavefunctions of the two lowest energy states of the system. The Aharonov-Bohm phase introduced by magnetic flux,

Boosting the Magnetic Response of a Composite Nanostructure in the Near‐Visible Region with a Fano Resonance

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
Optical simulations of composite plasmonic split‐ring resonators show that a magnetic response can be obtained at wavelengths near the visible regime. The response is further increased by extending the geometry and enabling a Fano resonance through the coupling of magnetic dipoles.

Classical charge oscillations in nanoscopic systems

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Ensino de Física
A single charge confined on the axis of a nanocylinder, carrying a charge of opposite sign, and two equal free classical charges on a conducting thin nanoring are two systems which can oscillate with frequencies in the THz domain.

Off-centered immobile magnetic vortex under influence of spin-transfer torque

open access: yes, 2010
Equilibrium magnetization distribution of the vortex state magnetic nanoparticle is affected by the influence of the spin-transfer torque: an off-center out--of--plane vortex appears in the case of the disk shape particle and pure planar vortex in the ...
