Porosity-moderated ultrafast electron transport in Au nanowire networks [PDF]
We demonstrate for first time the ultrafast properties of a newly formed porous Au nanostructure. The properties of the porous nanostructure are compared with those of a solid gold film using time-resolved optical spectroscopy. The experiments suggest ...

Wave function engineering in quantum dot-ring nanostructures [PDF]
Modern nanotechnology allows producing, depending on application, various quantum nanostructures with the desired properties. These properties are strongly influenced by the confinement potential which can be modified, e.g., by electrical gating. In this

Nonequilibrium phenomena in adjacent electrically isolated nanostructures [PDF]
We report on nonequilibrium interaction phenomena between adjacent but electrostatically separated nanostructures in GaAs. A current flowing in one externally biased nanostructure causes an excitation of electrons in a circuit of a second nanostructure. As a result we observe a dc current generated in the unbiased second nanostructure.

Quantum Manifestation of Elastic Constants in Nanostructures [PDF]
Generally, there are two distinct effects in modifying the properties of low-dimensional nanostructures: surface effect (SS) due to increased surface-volume ratio and quantum size effect (QSE) due to quantum confinement in reduced dimension. The SS has been widely shown to affect the elastic constants and mechanical properties of nanostructures.
