Effects of ausforming strain on bainite transformation in nanostructured bainite steel
International Journal of Minerals, Metallurgy, and Materials, 2017The effects of ausforming strain on bainite transformation in high-carbon low-alloy nanobainite steel were investigated using a Gleeble 3500 thermomechanical simulator machine. The bainite transformation speed at 300°C was found to be accelerated by ausforming at 300, 600, and 700°C under applied strains ranging from 10% to 50% followed by isothermal ...

Microstructural characterization of Charpy-impact-tested nanostructured bainite
Materials Characterization, 2015Abstract In this work, a possible cause of the extraordinary low impact toughness of nanostructured bainite has been investigated. The microstructure of nanostructured bainite consisted chiefly of carbide-free bainitic ferrite with retained austenite films.

Effect of Electropulsing on Nanostructured Bainitic Steel
Journal of Materials Engineering and Performance, 2021Novel steel of Fe-0.81C-1.9Mn-1.48Si-0.27Mo-0.95Ni-1.43Co-0.79Al composition was austenitized at 930 °C and isothermally treated at 240 °C for different intervals of time to produce carbide-free nanostructured bainite. The metastable austenite transformed to nanostructured bainite without any carbide precipitation.
