Estimation of the Volume Percent of Normal and Nanostructured Bainite in Bainitic Steels
Abstract Estimation of the volume percent of bainite has been conducted using a powerful computational technique known as neural network. The model is proposed for ordinary bainitic steel in addition to the more recent class of super bainite steel which are attractive for many applications.

Effect of Isothermal Temperature on Growth Behavior of Nanostructured Bainite in Laser Cladded Coatings. [PDF]
The growth and propagation behavior of austenite-to-bainite isothermal transformation in laser-cladded, Si-rich, and Fe-based coatings is investigated. The crystallographic features, orientation relationship at different isothermal temperatures, and the ...

High-Cycle, Push-Pull Fatigue Fracture Behavior of High-C, Si-Al-Rich Nanostructured Bainite Steel. [PDF]
The high-cycle, push–pull fatigue fracture behavior of high-C, Si–Al-rich nanostructured bainitic steel was studied through the measurement of fatigue limits, a morphology examination and phase composition analysis of the fatigue fracture surface, as ...

Wear of fine pearlite, nanostructured bainite and martensite
Abrasion is a form of wear prominent particularly in the agricultural, mining, mineral and transportation industries. The cost of abrasive wear to the national economy is estimated to be about 1% of the gross national product, and it can compromise the safety and reliability of engineering components.

Hydrogen Susceptibility of Nanostructured Bainitic Steels [PDF]
Abstract Nanostructured steels with an ultimate tensile strength of 1.6 GPa were produced with austenite content varying from 0 to 35 vol pct. The effect on the mechanical properties was assessed after saturating the steel with hydrogen. Elongation was reduced to 2 to 5 pct and UTS to 65 to 70 pct of prior value.

Thermodynamic analysis and strength-toughness research of nanobainite
In view of slow phase transformation rate in high-carbon,silicon-rich and low-alloy bainite steel(nanostructured bainite steel),the effects of alloy elements on the overall kinetics of low temperature bainite phase transformation were analyzed by using ...

Tensile Ductility of Nanostructured Bainitic Steels: Influence of Retained Austenite Stability
High silicon (>1.5%) steels with different compositions were isothermally transformed to bainite at 220 and 250 °C to produce what is often referred to as nanostructured bainite.
