Cold‐Sprayed Metal Coatings with Nanostructure [PDF]
Cold spray is a solid‐state coating deposition technology developed in the 1980s. In comparison with conventional thermal spray processes, cold spray can retain the original properties of feedstock, prevent the adverse influence on the underlying substrate materials, and produce very thick coatings.

Micro- and Nanostructure of Zn Whiskers and Their Coating [PDF]
To understand the mechanisms at the origin of whisker formation and growth, a Zn-electroplated steel prone to whiskering was studied. Several samples were prepared from different locations of the electroplated plate. Care was taken to extract samples at the root, in the nodule, or away from whiskers.

ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...
