Biomass Native Structure Into Functional Carbon‐Based Catalysts for Fenton‐Like Reactions
This study indicates that eight biomasses with 2D flaky and 1D acicular structures influence surface O types, morphology, defects, N doping, sp2 C, and Co nanoparticles loading in three series of carbon, N‐doped carbon, and cobalt/graphitic carbon. This work identifies how these structural factors impact catalytic pathways, enhancing selective electron

Production of Carbon Nanotubes.
Carbon nanotubes were produced by the do arc-discharge evaporation of graphite electrodes in an atmosphere of rarefied gas of He, Ar or CH4. The co-existence of carbon nanoparticles with the nanotubes was observed by both scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) .

Solitons in carbon nanotubes [PDF]
The symmetries of spontaneous lattice distortions in carbon nanotubes are investigated. When the degeneracy of the ground states remains discrete, there are solitons or domain walls connecting the different symmetry broken vaccua. These solitons, similarly to the case of polyacetelene, are fractionally charged states.

Probing Exciton Localization in Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes Using High-Resolution Near-Field Microscopy [PDF]
We observe localization of excitons in semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotubes at room temperature using high-resolution near-field photoluminescence (PL) microscopy.

Shellac, a centuries‐old natural resin, is reimagined as a green material for flexible electronics. When combined with silver nanowires, shellac films deliver transparency, conductivity, and stability against humidity. These results position shellac as a sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers for transparent conductors in next‐generation ...

Design of double-walled carbon nanotubes for biomedical applications [PDF]
Double-walled carbon nanotubes (DWNTs) prepared by catalytic chemical vapour deposition were functionalized in such a way that they were optimally designed as a nano-vector for the delivery of small interfering RNA (siRNA), which is of great interest for

Influence of Plasma Jet Temperature Profiles in Arc Discharge Methods of Carbon Nanotubes Synthesis
One of the most common methods of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) synthesis is application of an electric-arc plasma. However, the final product in the form of cathode deposit is composed of carbon nanotubes and a variety of carbon impurities. An assay of carbon
