TEMPO/NaClO2/NaOCl oxidation of arabinoxylans

open access: yesCarbohydrate Polymers, 2021
TEMPO-oxidation of neutral polysaccharides has been used to obtain polyuronides displaying improved functional properties. Although arabinoxylans (AX) from different sources may yield polyuronides with diverse properties due to their variable arabinose (Araf) substitution patterns, information of the TEMPO-oxidation of AX on its structure remains ...

Enhanced Bactericidal Efficacy of NaOCl at pH 12 Followed by Acidified NaOCl at pH 6.5 on Enterococcus faecalis Biofilm [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
This study aimed to determine the bactericidal efficacy of sequential use of NaOCl pH 12 followed by acidified NaOCl pH 6.5, and compare it to that of either of these NaOCl solutions alone. E.

NaOCl-mediated biofunctionalization enhances bone-titanium integration

open access: yesDental Materials Journal, 2015
The aim of this study was to examine the effect of NaOCl pretreatment on the biomechanical fixation of implant at the early healing stage of a rat model. Polished titanium cylindrical implants and disks were prepared, and one-half of these samples were dual acidetched.

Effects of root canal irrigants and medicaments on dentin and vice versa: a review of Literature [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Dental Materials and Techniques, 2020
Microorganisms are very important in the initiation of pulpo-periapical pathosis. Due to the complexity of the root canal system, the mechanical instrumentation of the root canal system should be supplemented with proper canal irrigants and medicaments ...

Methods for increasing the efficiency of NaOCl

open access: yesИзвестия на Съюза на учените – Варна Серия „Медицина и екология”, 2022
Sodium hypochlorite has a strong antibacterial effect and the ability to dissolve organic substances. It cannot remove the smear layer formed on the walls of the canal after mechanical preparation. The main disadvantages of this irrigant are its cytotoxicity, unpleasant smell and taste, and the ability to cause corrosion on metallic objects.

Membrane Fouling Reduction in a MBR Process by Combination of NaOCl Oxidation and FeCl3 Flocculation Agents [PDF]

open access: yesآب و فاضلاب, 2020
The combination of oxidation and flocculation has been used to alleviate the membrane fouling in MBR systems. As common and cheap additives, NaOCl and FeCl3 were employed to prolong the operation life of the membranes.
