GaAs Polishing Mechanism with NaOCl Solution
Journal of The Electrochemical Society, 1989A wafer (100) surface was polished with solution. Surface analyses have been accomplished by Fourier‐transform infrared spectroscopy (FT‐IR), x‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Auger electron spectroscopy (AES), and Raman spectroscopy. Reaction between and was found to produce product. Ten minute soaking in solution caused a 420A thick reaction as

Nickel-Catalyzed Benzylic Oxidation with NaOCl
Synthetic Communications, 1999Abstract Ni(bpy)2Cl2 has been found to be an efficient catalyst for the oxidation of various alkylbenzenes with hypochlorite. Substituted toluenes having electron withdrawing group at 4-position were oxidized to the corresponding substituted benzoic acids in excellent yields.

The effect of NaOCl dentin treatment on nanoleakage formation
Journal of Biomedical Materials Research, 2001The term "nanoleakage" has been introduced to explain a penetration pathway within hybrid layers of the dentin-composite junction in the absence of gap formation. This phenomenon is argued in the literature to be a risk factor for the quality of the dentin bonding.

Dissolution of root canal sealers in EDTA and NaOCl solutions
The Journal of the American Dental Association, 2009Solutions of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) and sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) have been used as canal irrigants in endodontic treatment. The authors conducted a study to compare the ability of these solutions to dissolve sealers. The authors assessed the solubility of six sealers-calcium hydroxide, polyketone, zinc oxide-eugenol, silicone and two ...

CarisolvTM: an alternative to NaOCl in immature root canals?
International Endodontic Journal, 2005AbstractAim To test the null hypothesis that CarisolvTM is no more effective than 1% sodium hypochlorite in cleaning uninstrumented, immature root canals.Methodology A total of 240 uniform, immature ovine incisors were decoronated at the CEJ level and randomly divided into four groups of 60.

Analysis of Extraction of Coal Oxidation Residue in NaOCl
Advanced Materials Research, 2013Sequential extraction of four coal oxidation residues (COR) from aqueous NaOCl solution with petroleum ether (PE), carbon disulfide (CS2), acetone and methanol were investigated. The results suggest that methanol is an effective extraction solvent, giving the highest extraction yields for four COR. The extraction fractions were analyzed by GC/MS. It is

The use of NaOCl in combination with CHX produces cytotoxic product
Clinical Oral Investigations, 2013The combination of sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) and chlorhexidine (CHX) yields a "precipitate potentially toxic" (PPT). The aim of this study was to evaluate the tissue response to implanted polyethylene tubes filled with PPT-soaked fibrin sponge.Forty rats received four polyethylene tubes each; each tube was filled with fibrin sponge soaked by 2.5 ...
