Heterogeneous Multilayer Nanopores via Chemically Tuned Dielectric Breakdown for Single‐Molecule Sensing

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
A scalable fabrication method based on chemically tuned controlled dielectric breakdown (CT‐CDB) enables heterogeneous multilayer nanopores integrating SiNx with 2D materials such as hBN, MoS2, and graphene. The resulting nanopores exhibit distinct electrokinetic behaviors and low noise, allowing structure‐dependent single‐protein sensing.

AVALIAÇÃO IN VITRO DA REMOÇÃO DE LAMA DENTINÁRIA ASSOCIANDO DIFERENTES CONCENTRAÇÕES DE HIPOCLORITO DE SÓDIO

open access: yesRevista UniVap, 2017

The aldehyde dehydrogenase AldA contributes to the hypochlorite defense and is redox-controlled by protein S-bacillithiolation in Staphylococcus aureus [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Staphylococcus aureus produces bacillithiol (BSH) as major low molecular weight (LMW) thiol which functions in thiol-protection and redox-regulation by protein S-bacillithiolation under hypochlorite stress.

Mycorrhizal identity of neighbouring trees shapes seedling survival and plant–soil feedbacks through trait and light interactions

open access: yesFunctional Ecology, EarlyView.
Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract Plant–soil feedbacks (PSF) play a central role in determining forest community dynamics, with trees associated with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) often experiencing negative PSFs, while those associated with ectomycorrhizal fungi (EMF) experience positive PSFs ...

Comparative evaluation of the efficacy of 1% and 3% Sodium hypochlorite in reducing the microbial counts in primary teeth root canals using Bioluminometer – A randomized clinical trial

open access: yesSaudi Dental Journal
Purpose: Sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) is commonly used to irrigate primary teeth during pulpectomy. Although high concentrations of NaOCl are effective, they pose a risk of toxic damage to periapical tissues if NaOCl penetrates through the apical foramen.

Analysis of plant and environmental samples for the quarantine fungus Phyllosticta citricarpa in four European citrus‐growing areas

open access: yesAnnals of Applied Biology, EarlyView.
Methodologies for the early detection of Phyllosticta citricarpa in air and rainwater samples were developed and applied over three consecutive years (2018–2021) in four European citrus sites, previously reported to harbour the pathogen. Phyllosticta citricarpa was not detected in plant, air, or rainwater samples, and no CBS symptoms were observed on ...

Cyotoxicity of Etidronate as an Endodontic Chelator Against Periodontal Ligament Fibroblast

open access: yesAustralian Endodontic Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Etidronic acid (HEBP) causes fewer alterations in dentine and can be used mixed with sodium hypochlorite during root canal preparation. This study investigated the cytotoxicity effects of the HEDP and EDTA on human periodontal ligament fibroblast cells. Primary culture was established from human periodontal ligament tissue of one donor and was
