Strictly speaking, anyone who for any reason makes it a habit to take medicinal substances into his body might be considered a drug addict. Obviously, this interpretation is entirely too liberal since it includes individuals who indulge in relatively harmless drugs such as vitamins, tonics, and laxatives.
