Charge response function and a novel plasmon mode in graphene
Polarizability of non-interacting 2D Dirac electrons has a 1/\sqrt{qv-\omega} singularity at the boundary of electron-hole excitations. The screening of this singularity by long-range electron-electron interactions is usually treated within the random ...

Recurrent Hypothermia and Autonomic Dysfunction Secondary to Shapiro Syndrome
ABSTRACT A 44‐year‐old man presented with recurrent hypothermia, diaphoresis and hypertension. Extensive investigation for infectious, inflammatory, metabolic and endocrine aetiologies was negative. MR scan of the brain demonstrated no lesions but revealed callosal dysgenesis, consistent with Shapiro syndrome.

Roller Bearing Fault Diagnosis Based on Adaptive Sparsest Narrow-Band Decomposition and MMC-FCH
Adaptive sparsest narrow-band decomposition (ASNBD) method is proposed based on matching pursuit (MP) and empirical mode decomposition (EMD). ASNBD obtains the local narrow-band (LNB) components during the optimization process. Firstly, an optimal filter

Non-modal stability analysis and transient growth in a magnetized Vlasov plasma
Collisionless plasmas, such as those encountered in tokamaks, exhibit a rich variety of instabilities. The physical origin, triggering mechanisms and fundamental understanding of many plasma instabilities, however, are still open problems. We investigate

Holographic s+p insulator/superconductor phase transition at zero temperature
We study the holographic s+p insulator/superconductor phase transition at zero temperature by using the model with a scalar triplet charged under an SU(2) gauge field in anti-de Sitter (AdS) soliton background. In this model, besides the insulator phase,

Narrowing Operators on Template Abstract Domains
In the theory of abstract interpretation, a descending phase may be used to improve the precision of the analysis after a post-fixpoint has been reached. Termination is often guaranteed by using narrowing operators. This is especially true on numerical domains, since they are generally endowed with infinite descending chains which may lead to a non ...

Objective The aim of this study was to evaluate the sensitivity of the 2023 American College of Rheumatology (ACR)/EULAR classification criteria for antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) in a real‐world cohort of women diagnosed with primary obstetric APS (oAPS) and to assess their ability to identify patients at risk of future pregnancy complications ...

ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...
