APPROXIMATION OF NARROW OPERATORS ON THE SPACE L1 BY RANK ONE OPERATORS
The note is devoted to the study of further properties of narrow operators, defined on the Lebesgue space L1 and acting to an arbitrary Banach space. We investigate a new property, which asserts that any narrow operator on an ``essential’’ part of the domain space is arbitrary close in the sense of operator norm, to a rank one operator.

CT‐based finite element simulations combined with in situ X‐ray computed tomography are used to analyze insert pull‐out in nickel‐coated polymer foams. Despite variations in material parameters, deformation consistently concentrates within a narrow annular region around the insert.

On sign embeddings and narrow operators on $L_2$
The goal of this note is two-fold. First we present a brief overview of "weak" embeddings, with a special emphasis on sign embeddings which were introduced by H. P. Rosenthal in the early 1980s. We also discuss the related notion of narrow operators, which was introduced by A. Plichko and M. Popov in 1990.

Fabrication Routes for Ionic Conducting Fiber Strain Sensors
Ionic conducting fiber strain sensors (ICFSs) offer compliant, textile‐integrable sensing. Thus far, the commercialization of ICFSs has been constrained by fiber fabrication routes. This review provides a fabrication‐centric analysis of ICFSs correlating processing strategies with material properties and scalability.

Investigating the Low‐Temperature Phase Stability of the Binary Ta–W System
Atomistic simulations show that the binary Ta–W system forms ordered intermetallic phases, B2‐TaW and D03‐TaW3, as 0 K ground states. Configurational entropy, however, lowers the free energy of the disordered bcc solid solution, which becomes the stable phase above about 400 K.

Large landscape of 4d superconformal field theories from small gauge theories
We systematically explore the space of renormalization group flows of four-dimensional N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 1 superconformal field theories (SCFTs) triggered by relevant deformations, as well as by coupling to free chiral multiplets with relevant ...
