Safety and Clinical Outcomes of High‐ Versus Low‐Dose Oral Peanut Immunotherapy in Polish Children With Peanut Allergy

open access: yesActa Paediatrica, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aim To compare safety and clinical outcomes of two different oral immunotherapy (OIT) maintenance doses (150 mg vs. 300 mg) of peanut protein in children with peanut allergy. Methods This prospective study enrolled 44 children aged 4–17 years with confirmed peanut allergy.

Inflammatory Mediators Associated With Corticosteroid Responsiveness During Asthma Attacks

open access: yesClinical &Experimental Allergy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Higher baseline sputum/serum eotaxin‐3 and serum IL‐5 levels were associated with greater FEV1 improvement following OCS during asthma attacks. Corticosteroid‐induced inflammatory modulation differed across T2 phenotypes during asthma attacks.

Long Non‐Coding RNA, Like NEAT1 and MALAT1, in Asthma: Mechanisms and Therapeutic Potential

open access: yesClinical &Experimental Allergy, EarlyView.
Long non‐coding RNA, like NEAT1 and MALAT1, is emerging as a regulator of asthma‐related inflammation, airway remodelling, viral responses and cell death pathways, and are promising targets for future therapeutics. ABSTRACT Asthma affects millions worldwide. Long non‐coding RNA (lncRNA) are emerging as important factors in the pathophysiology of asthma

Olfactory Tuft Cells Are Critical to Basal Inflammation, Innate Immune Response to Viral Infection, and Modulation of Quiescent Stem Cell Activation, Proliferation and Differentiation

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
Olfactory tuft cells communicate with other mucosal cells in maintaining olfactory epithelial immunity and sensory function. Disruption of tuft cell signalling pathways causes a skewed immune response, leading to heightened inflammation and increased activation of the quiescent stem cells, which are further exacerbated by viral infection.
