Myofibrosarcoma is a recently recognized rare tumor that mainly occurs in adults. These tumors are composed of a collagenous stroma and pleomorphic stellate to spindle-shaped cells that resemble smooth muscle cells with eosinophilic cytoplasm and tapered nuclei.

Hypoplasia of the nasal bones

A case of nasal bone hypoplasia is presented. It resulted in mild respiratory obstruction due to collapse of overlying soft tissue on inspiration. A brief note on the growth of the nasal bones is made. All previously reported cases, which could be found in the literature, on absence or hypoplasia of nasal bones have been reviewed.

The clinical and radiological features are reviewed and the aetiology and differential diagnosis discussed. Primary surgery is the treatment of choice and the prognosis is excellent.
