Rhinosporidiosis in the Nasal Cavity

Glomangiopericytoma of the nasal cavity

Glomangiopericytoma is a rare tumor arising from the pericytes surrounding capillaries, and accounts for less than 0.5% of all sinonasal tumors. A 60-year-old male patient presented with a glomangiopericytoma of the nasal cavity manifesting as nasal obstruction and epistaxis, which was treated successfully with endoscopic excision.

Plasmocytoma of the Nasal Cavity

A plasmocytoma is a growth composed of plasma cells and is similar to a lymphoma in its gross characteristics. A plasma cell is a cell with a nucleus situated at one pole and with the nuclear chromatin having a spoke-like arrangement. The cytoplasm is basophilic, and there is a pale area near the nucleus, which contains a diplosome.
