Haemangiopericytoma of the nasal cavity
Neuroradiology, 2001Haemangiopericytomas (HPC) are rare vascular tumours originating from a pericytes, a term coined by Zimmermann to refer to the main location of this cell line in the pericapillary connective tissue. HPC may arise in any part of the body. We report a 29-year-old man with a histologically proven nasal haemangiopericytoma-like tumour.

AbstractA rare case of nasal paraganglioma is described. The tumor presented as a bleeding polyp originating from the middle turbinate. Histological evaluation was based on light and electron microscopy and the findings are discussed in detail. The tumor was locally excised.
