Nasal dorsum reconstruction after pediatric nasal dermoid excision
International Journal of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology, 2021To review our experience with pediatric nasal dermoids, and discuss reconstructive options for the nasal dorsum after pediatric nasal dermoid removal.Retrospective review of pediatric nasal dermoid cases from January 1 2005 through October 1 2016.Twenty-five cases (12 males, 13 females) were identified.

Closure of full-thickness defects of the nasal tip and sorsum requires both a satisfactory functional and an acceptable cosmetic result. The nasal dorsum flap is particularly well suited for closure of many such defects. The basic design of the flap, as well as several useful modifications, are discussed.
