Print‐and‐Plate Architected Electrodes for Electrochemical Transformations Under Flow

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Typical flow cell electrodes are composed of stochastic porous carbon, limiting understanding of electrode structure‐performance relationships. This work describes an approach, termed “print‐and‐plate,” to prepare porous electrodes by direct ink writing followed by conformal metal coating.

Regioselective and Anisotropic Multi‐Patching of Small Microparticles via a Polymer Brush‐Assisted Microcontact Printing (µCP)

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A method to fabricate anisotropic SiO2 patchy microspheres is presented using a modified microcontact printing technique. This involves a PDMS elastomer stamp with grooved surface topography, creating a confined environment for the microspheres.

The Comparison of Nasopharyngeal Cephalometric Measurements between Two Groups with Anterior and Posterior Obstructions of Nasal Airway

open access: yesMajallah-i Dānishgāh-i ’Ulūm-i Pizishkī-i Shahīd Ṣadūqī Yazd, 2004
Introduction: Two main causes of nasal airway obstruction and mouth breathing Consist: 1- anterior nasal obstruction is caused by obstruction in nasal cavity, 2- posterior (nasopharyngeal) obstruction is caused by adenoid enlargement and decreased ...

Nasal Airway Obstruction: Prevalence and Anatomic Contributors

open access: yesEar, nose, & throat journal, 2018
Surgical treatments for nasal airway obstruction (NAO) are commonly offered as part of otolaryngology practice. Anatomic causes include septal deviation, inferior turbinate hypertrophy, and nasal valve collapse (NVC).

Intraoral Drug Delivery: Bridging the Gap Between Academic Research and Industrial Innovations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Intraoral drug delivery offers a promising route for systemic and localized therapies, yet challenges such as enzymatic degradation, limited permeability, and microbial interactions hinder efficacy. This figure highlights innovative strategies—mucoadhesive materials, enzyme inhibitors, and permeation enhancers—to overcome these barriers.

A Vertically‐Stacked Optoelectronic Sensor for Localized Hemodynamics Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces a hemodynamics monitoring sensor that features vertically stacked microLEDs and a heterogeneously integrated photodetector. The vertically stacked microLEDs enable localized measurements, and by designing the interoptode distance according to the depth of the target region, this vertically stacked optoelectronic sensor is ...

Transducer Materials Mediated Deep Brain Stimulation in Neurological Disorders

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review discusses advanced transducer materials for improving deep brain stimulation (DBS) in neurological disorders. These materials respond to light, ultrasound, or magnetic fields, enabling precise, less invasive neuromodulation. Their stimulus‐responsive properties enhance neural control and adaptive therapy, paving the way for next‐generation ...
