On the Relentless Pursuit of an Oral Insulin Delivery System: How Far is Too Far?
Advanced Therapeutics, EarlyView.Injectable insulin preparations have far outpaced oral ones by virtue of adequate bioavailability and are driven by innovations, including insulin pumps, real‐time blood glucose monitoring, and artificial intelligence. In contrast, oral insulin delivery systems, including nanomedicines, continue to struggle and lag due to varied reasons.

Semi-Automated Nasal PAP Mask Sizing using Facial Photographs [PDF]
, 2017 We present a semi-automated system for sizing nasal Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) masks based upon a neural network model that was trained with facial photographs of both PAP mask users and non-users. It demonstrated an accuracy of 72% in correctly sizing a mask and 96% accuracy sizing to within 1 mask size group.

The Anatomical Record, EarlyView., 2023 Abstract Neochelys is an exclusively European Eocene podocnemidid genus belonging to a linage that reached this continent at the early Eocene. The so far available anatomical information about it is relatively abundant, especially considering that of its shell, at least partially preserved for the eight valid species currently considered.

Advanced Science, EarlyView.This study investigates the role of protein arginine methyltransferase 1 (PRMT1) in endothelial cells (ECs) in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Mice with endothelial‐specific PRMT1 deletion develop pulmonary hemorrhage, inflammation, and apoptosis, driven by excessive nuclear factor kappa B activation.
