Phenotypic Subtypes of Obstructive Eustachian Tube Dysfunction as Defined by Cluster Analysis

Obstructive ETD encompasses five clinically distinct phenotypes, ranging from mild, post‐upper respiratory infection presentations to chronic, bilateral disease driven by sinusitis and reflux. These were identified through hierarchical cluster analysis of 490 patients using seven key clinical variables.

Unique Features of Nasal Airway and Airflow Improvement Post‐Dupilumab: A Computational Cohort Study

The impact of dupilumab on nasal airway patency and airflow is not uniform. It is more pronounced in the middle and superior, but not inferior meatus. These unique regional changes significantly correlate with and potentially drive the improvement in patient symptoms.

Race and Ethnicity Affect Symptom and Endoscopy Associations in CT‐Confirmed Chronic Rhinosinusitis

Among adults with chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) symptoms, hyposmia, and higher Lund–Kennedy endoscopy scores were associated with CT‐confirmed CRS overall, though these associations were not significant among Asian and Hispanic patients. Effects of septoplasty and septal deviation on nasal mucociliary clearance.

To evaluate the effect of septal pathology and surgery on nasal mucociliary clearance. A radioisotope method was used to measure the velocity of nasal mucociliary transport. Nasal mucociliary clearance was measured before and after septal surgery using technetium-99m macroaggregated albumin.

Autologous Mastoid Cortex Bone Graft for Multilayer Repair of Lateral Skull Base Defects

Multilayer repair of lateral skull base cerebrospinal fluid leaks and encephaloceles can be reinforced with rigid autologous grafts. Harvesting a monocortical mastoid cortex bone graft is effective and easy to implement without conferring additional morbidity.
