Only Septal Deviation? A Tiny Schwannoma in the Nasal Septum [PDF]
Schwannoma of nasal septum presentation is exceedingly rare in the literature, previously reported multiple lesions involving the paranasal sinuses or nasal mucosa. We report the case of a 20 year-old yellow male with a tiny schwannoma arising from the nasal septum, complaining of lightly alternate nasal obstruction.

Correlation Study Between Nasal Septal Deviation and Rhinosinusitis [PDF]
Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) is a major cause of concern worldwide. Nasal septal deviation (NSD) may either cause osteomeatal obstruction or may interfere with proper airflow and potentially predispose to sinusitis. Due to the lack of a universally accepted classification on NSD it has not been established whether NSD influences the development of ...

This study presents a ″trash‐to‐treasure″ strategy that converts harmful joint overloads into beneficial electrical cues. The biodegradable MagPie, by providing piezoelectrical stimulation and releasing Mg2+ during mastication, exerts synergistic pro‐regenerative and anti‐inflammatory effects on Prg4+ cells via the ECM‐mediated FAK‐PI3K‐Akt axis ...

ABSTRACT The transformation/transcription domain‐associated protein (TRRAP) gene encodes a large multidomain protein, a member of the phosphatidylinositol 3‐kinase‐related kinase (PIKK) family. TRRAP is a component of the histone acetyltransferase (HAT) complex, and it plays an important role in gene transcription, DNA repair, and cell‐cycle regulation.

Streamlining Diagnosis of Bardet–Biedl Syndrome: New Diagnostic Algorithm With Updated Criteria
ABSTRACT Considerable advances have been made in our understanding of Bardet–Biedl syndrome (BBS), particularly in its core clinical features and molecular genetics, warranting an update to the existing diagnostic criteria framework. Using a rigorous, evidence‐based, and consensus‐driven process, a multidisciplinary group of international experts and ...
