Voice analysis following turbinectomy in patients with hypertrophied inferior turbinate secondary to allergic and vasomotor rhinitis refractory to conservative treatment [PDF]
Introduction: Alterations in the configuration of the nasal cavity made surgicallyvia procedures such as turbinectomy have been assumed to cause changes in the perceived nasal resonance of the patients post surgery which tends to manifest changes in ...

This work presents a state‐adaptive Koopman linear quadratic regulator framework for real‐time manipulation of a deformable swab tool in robotic environmental sampling. By combining Koopman linearization, tactile sensing, and centroid‐based force regulation, the system maintains stable contact forces and high coverage across flat and inclined surfaces.

Glaucoma, a major cause of blindness, involves retinal ganglion cell (RGC) degeneration. This study shows growth hormone‐releasing hormone receptor (GHRHR) deficiency preserves RGC survival and restores vision, unlike activation which only aids survival.

A temporally controlled drug release coating is developed for abutments using a superhydrophobic coating self‐assembled on mesoporous silica. This surface provides sequential functionality: initial contamination resistance through non‐wetting, followed by controlled drug release via wettability transition.

This study presents a ″trash‐to‐treasure″ strategy that converts harmful joint overloads into beneficial electrical cues. The biodegradable MagPie, by providing piezoelectrical stimulation and releasing Mg2+ during mastication, exerts synergistic pro‐regenerative and anti‐inflammatory effects on Prg4+ cells via the ECM‐mediated FAK‐PI3K‐Akt axis ...

SMAD4 is identified as a guardian of 3D genome architecture in lung squamous cell carcinoma. Loss of SMAD4 unleashes EP300 at chromatin loop anchors, strengthening enhancer–promoter looping and H3K27ac at the SOX2 locus to drive aberrant SOX2 activation and tumor cell proliferation.
