Diagnostic value of exosomal circMYC in radioresistant nasopharyngeal carcinoma
Head and Neck, 2020The relationship between circulating exosomal circular RNA (circRNA) and prognosis of patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) remain unknown. This study focused on the expression of exosomal circMYC and its relationship with the recurrence and ...

Deep Learning for Automated Contouring of Primary Tumor Volumes by MRI for Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma.
Radiology, 2019Background Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) may be cured with radiation therapy. Tumor proximity to critical structures demands accuracy in tumor delineation to avoid toxicities from radiation therapy; however, tumor target contouring for head and neck ...

Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma and Lymphoinfiltration
Oncology, 1991Originally referred to as 'lymphoepithelioma', undifferentiated and poorly differentiated nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) tissues showed intense lymphoinfiltration. In a study of cryosections from 15 NPC tissues, we found that infiltrating lymphoid elements were comprised predominantly of lymphocytes, but plasma cells, follicular dendritic cells, and ...

Nasopharyngeal carcinoma in the young
Clinical Oncology, 1993This study was carried out to determine whether locoregional control of nasopharyngeal carcinoma in the young by irradiation has improved since 1975. Fifty-seven consecutive, previously untreated, patients, less than 30 years old, were diagnosed and treated at University of Toronto Hospitals between 1958 and 1990; 21 patients were treated before and 36

Epidemiology of nasopharyngeal carcinoma
Seminars in Cancer Biology, 2002Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is a rare malignancy in most parts of the world, with an incidence well under 1 per 100,000 person-years. Exceptions are the Chinese, especially the Cantonese living in the central region of Guangdong Province in Southern China.

Management of Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma
2016© Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2011, 2016. Nasopharyngeal carcinoma is a distinctly radiosensitive and chemosensitive tumor. Best quality radiotherapy is demanded to build up the complex concave high-dose zone for this critical location.

Advances in nasopharyngeal carcinoma
Current Opinion in Oncology, 2005Intergroup 0099 established the role of concurrent chemotherapy with radiation therapy in the treatment of locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma, but its reproducibility was unclear and chemotherapy compliance was poor. Multiple concurrent chemoradiation phase III trials were initiated in response to the Intergroup trial, and technologic advances ...

Nasopharyngeal carcinoma in children
International Journal of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology, 2000Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is rare in children. We report two cases from KK Women and Children's Hospital in Singapore, who presented with advanced locoregional disease. The various aspects of NPC in children are discussed. It is more common in males and black adolescents. The etiology is probably different from that in adult.
