“The Period of National Literature” is generally accepted as the name of a literary process beginning with the publication of the Journal Genç Kalemler in 1911 to 1923 in which Turkish Literature During the Republican Era emerged. The outstanding representatives of this movement are Mehmed Emin Yurdakul, Ömer Seyfettin, Ali Canip Yöntem and Ziya Gökalp.
