Dynamic Loading Regulates Meniscus‐Like Matrix Production in Human Mesenchymal Stromal Cell‐Seeded PET Scaffolds

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Dynamic compression enhances mesenchymal stromal cell proliferation in nonwoven PET scaffolds under chondrogenic differentiation conditions and triggers mechanosensitive transcriptional programs associated with extracellular matrix remodeling. These findings highlight the potential of mechanically stimulated PET scaffolds as a promising platform for ...

Spatially Controlled Embedded Bioprinting of Prevascularized Spheroids‐Containing Biopatch Enables Functional Skin Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A spatially controlled embedded bioprinting strategy enables precise engineering of prevascularized multicellular spheroids within skin‐derived dECM bioinks. Optimized spheroid size, composition, and spacing promote vascular maturation, paracrine signaling, and tissue integration, resulting in enhanced angiogenesis, blood perfusion, and functional skin

Relación longitud-peso y factor de condición de los peces nativos del río San Pedro (cuenca del río Valdivia, Chile) Weight-length relationships and condition factor of native fish from San Pedro River (Valdivia River basin, Chile)

open access: yesGayana, 2012
La relación longitud-peso y el factor de condición (K) son descriptores de gran interés en la biología de poblaciones de peces, ya que aportan información fundamental sobre estrategias de crecimiento, estado nutricional y reproducción.

In Vivo Monitoring of Thrombo‐Inflammatory Biomarkers via Molecularly Imprinted Polymer‐Integrated Hydrogel Microneedles

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A wearable electrochemical microneedle patch integrates Prussian Blue redox transduction with molecularly imprinted polymer recognition for reagent‐free sampling and detection of thrombo‐inflammatory biomarkers in dermal interstitial fluid. The platform tracks thrombin and inflammatory cytokines with sensitive in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo performance,

Bubble Formation Control: Fabrication of Centimeter‐Sized Tissue‐Like Constructs by Catalase‐Coated Oxygen‐Releasing Hydrogel

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Oxygen‐releasing hydrogels are widely used to support cell survival in 3D cultures and to promote wound healing. However, incorporating catalase to convert H2O2 into O2 often generates additional oxygen bubbles, leading to material instability which rarely addressed.

GROWTH OF Dormitator latifrons UNDER DIFFERENT DENSITIES IN CONCRETE TANKS

open access: yesTropical and Subtropical Agroecosystems, 2019
Dormitator latifrons is an excellent candidate to be cultured in Mexico. In this research work four experimental treatments were carried out to evaluate the effect of stock density on growth: D3 (three organisms/m3), D5 (five organisms/m3), D6 (six ...

Boolean Logic‐Based Control Over Recombinant Protein Biomaterial Degradability and Therapeutic Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Fully recombinant protein‐based biomaterials execute complex Boolean logic for user‐programmable material degradation and concomitant therapeutic cargo release. Biologics, such as growth factors, can be incorporated within the crosslinkers as “drugamers”, while encapsulated cells can be released according to nested YES/OR/AND‐type logical operations ...

Caracterización del hábitat de peces nativos en el río San Pedro (cuenca del rio Valdivia, Chile) Habitat characterization of native fish in the San Pedro River (Valdivia River basin, Chile)

open access: yesGayana, 2012
En sistemas fluviales, las comunidades biológicas están estructuradas principalmente por el hábitat físico. Conocer el tipo de hábitat que ocupa cada especie a lo largo de su vida es fundamental para comprender su ecología en sistemas naturales y definir

Electrically Coded Retinomorphic Spectrophotodetector

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Self‐powered retinomorphic pyro‐photodetector is demonstrated that avoids machine‐learning post‐processing and covers 365–940 nm. Electrostatic balancing of built‐in potential produces an electrical wavelength code, delivering <3 nm wavelength decoding accuracy with ∼46 µs response.

Primeros estadios del ciclo de vida de peces nativos del Río San Pedro (Cuenca del Rio Valdivia, Chile) First stages of the life cycle in native fish from the San Pedro River (Valdivia River Basin, Chile)

open access: yesGayana, 2012
Los estadios de huevos, larvas y juveniles de los peces de agua dulce nativos de Chile son prácticamente desconocidos. Conocer su estacionalidad, morfología y uso de hábitat es relevante para comprender su biología y permitir la conservación de esta ...
