Design, synthesis, and biological evaluation of pyridylamide-type neonicotinoid derivatives based on flupyrimin scaffold

open access: yesBMC Chemistry
The sucking pests such as aphids, planthoppers, and whiteflies pose a significant threat to global crop productivity, causing estimated losses of up to 40% in affected areas. Reports indicate that resistance to traditional agents such as imidacloprid has

Development and Validation of Species-Specific KASP and SCAR Markers for the Rapid Identification of the Endangered Orchid Calanthe aristulifera

open access: yesPlants
Calanthe aristulifera is a critically endangered orchid species of profound horticultural and ecological significance. However, establishing its species integrity is complicated by frequent natural introgression with sympatric relatives, such as C ...

Genetic dissection of human ABCE1 in yeast reveals separable requirements for ribosome recycling and suppression of aberrant reinitiation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Human ABCE1 cannot functionally replace its yeast ortholog. Yeast–human chimera analysis identified NBD1 as a major interspecies barrier. Genetic screening yielded hABCE1 revertants that rescue yeast viability but fail to suppress aberrant translation reinitiation in the 3′ UTR.

Design, Synthesis and Crystal Structure of a Novel Fluorescence Probe for Zn2+ Based on Pyrano[3,2-c] Carbazole

open access: yesMolecules
Zinc is a trace element, which plays an important role in many biological processes. The deficiency of zinc will lead to many diseases. Thus, it is of great significance to develop fast and efficient quantitative detection technology for zinc ions.

Peripheral Neutrophil Activation and Extracellular Trap Formation in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
Markers of neutrophil activation are increased in plasma during ALS, and markers of NET formation associate with ALS survival. ABSTRACT Objectives Peripheral neutrophil levels in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) inversely correlate with survival, suggesting a role for neutrophils in disease progression.

High‐Resolution Corrosion Fingerprinting of Alloy Libraries via Microdroplet Spectroelectrochemistry

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Ionic‐liquid microdroplet spectroelectrochemistry enables stable, localized electrochemical measurements over extended timescales. By coupling impedance spectroscopy, wetting analysis, finite‐element simulations, and operando Raman spectroscopy, it disentangles geometrical and electrochemical effects, opening new opportunities for rapid corrosion ...

Superlubricity and Corrosion Inhibition Properties of Solvate Ionic Liquids in Hybrid Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic–Steel Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Solvate ionic liquids lubrication reduced the coefficient of friction by ∼60% compared to dry sliding, reaching steady‐state values as low as 0.04–0.05. Corrosion weight‐loss measurements in 1 M HCl further demonstrated significant inhibition behavior, with only 100 ppm of [Li(G3)][TFSI] (∼68.5 μL/L) reducing corrosion‐product weight loss by 63 ...
