“Alien versus predator”: predatory effect of coccinellid Exochomus quadripustulatus on the scale insect Toumeyella parvicornis. An open‐field experimentation on the Pinus pinea of Rome

The release of gravid Exochomus quadripustulatus females proved to be effective in containing Toumeyella parvicornis infestations on stone pine trees, under open‐field condition. The ladybugs caused a lower infestation level compared to the trees that did not receive any ladybugs during the observation season.

Parasites at the Summit: Unexpected Geographic Distribution of the Blood Parasite Lineage Found in the Endangered Giant Lizard of Tenerife

We combined microscopic screening and molecular phylogenetic analyses to characterize blood parasites infecting Gallotia intermedia from the coastal cliffs of Montaña de Guaza and to place these infections in a broader biogeographic context. ABSTRACT In 2019, the Dadan Archaeological Project (CNRS/RCU/AFALULA) identified a Late Antique village 1 km south of ancient Dadan in the al‐ʿUlā valley (northwest Saudi Arabia). Three excavation seasons at this site (2021–2023) have uncovered a massive building constructed in the late third or early fourth cent.
