H2S‐Amplified “Three‐in‐One” Antibacterial Strategy for Periodontitis Treatment Using a Photosensitive Pillararene‐Embedded COF/MOF Hybrid

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The integration of ROS‐generating systems with H2S depletion strategies effectively overcomes the limitations imposed by endogenous antioxidant defenses on ROS‐based antimicrobial therapies. In this study, the Cu‐MOF is incorporated into pillararene‐embedded COF, achieving a “three‐in‐one” antimicrobial effect that markedly alleviated periodontal ...

Deciphering the Dynamic Balance Between Solvation Strength and Polysulfides Reaction Heterogeneity in Practical Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A weakly solvating fluorinated cosolvent (1200ET) enables precise solvation‐power regulation in Li–S batteries, decoupling interfacial stabilization from sulfur redox kinetics. This approach suppresses polysulfide dissolution while preserving reaction kinetics, leading to a stable Li metal interface and high‐energy multilayer pouch cells, revealing a ...

Disaster Risk and Community Vulnerability: the Case of Patuakhali, Bangladesh

open access: yes
Natural disasters have the potential to damage the entire economy of a country, especially when they take place in the developing countries. While no country in the world is entirely safe, the lack of capacity to limit the impact of hazards and bounce ...

PANX2 Suppresses Lung Adenocarcinoma Progression by Inducing Disulfidptosis and Enhancing Antitumor Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) remains a leading cause of cancer mortality with limited therapeutic options. Disulfidptosis, a novel cell death modality driven by disulfide stress, represents a promising target, yet its regulation in LUAD is poorly defined. Here, we identify Pannexin 2 (PANX2) as a tumor suppressor in LUAD.

Combining Radiation‐Treated Tumor Vaccines With Mn‐MOF Nanoadjuvants to Amplify Radiation Induced Anti‐Tumor Immune Responses

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy‐treated tumor membranes are integrated with Mn‐MOF nanoadjuvants to generate Mn@RM, a lymph node‐draining nanovaccine that delivers radiotherapy‐remodeled antigenic components. Mn@RM enhances dendritic cell activation, amplifies T cell‐mediated antitumor immunity, and synergizes with radiotherapy and PD‐1 blockade for combination cancer ...

Women Confronting Natural Disaster From Vulnerability to Resilience

open access: yes
Natural disasters push ordinary gender disparities to the extreme--leaving women not only to deal with a catastrophe's aftermath, but also at risk for greater levels of domestic violence, displacement, and other threats to their security and well-being ...

Quality Infrastructure and Natural Disaster Resiliency

open access: yes, 2019
A review of the academic literature on the topic has proved that most studies have been focused on how to finance the risk and indemnify the damages caused by an earthquake, rather than on mitigation measures.

A Folded, Structure‐Integrated Bimodal Sensor Enabling Non‐Contact and Tactile Perception for Intelligent Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A foldable bimodal sensor integrates a triboelectric nanogenerator and graphene piezoresistive effect into a monolithic laser‐induced graphene film. It enables synchronous non‐contact and tactile perception, achieving a distance of 110 mm, a sensitivity of 11.2 kPa−1, and a response time of 10 ms.
