Graphene Aerogels With Spherical Pore Structure for Broad Frequency Regulation and Enhanced Low‐Frequency Response

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A graphene aerogel with a spherical‐pore structure is constructed via microbubble templating. This unique architecture suppresses strain‐induced percolation of conductive networks, enabling dynamic frequency tuning. It also delivers enhanced low‐frequency absorption with an effective absorption bandwidth of 2.56 GHz, covering 91% of the low‐frequency ...

Deep Learning Network‐Tailored Microenvironment Matching of 4D Bioprinting Bioactive Scaffolds for Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A DLN dataset was built to analyze MABS composition versus in vitro/in vivo osteogenesis and angiogenesis. An MLP neural network, taking BG morphological parameters as input, extracts bioactive features from these datasets. A rabbit tibial defect model then validates 4D‐printed MABS for adaptability and bone regeneration in critical defects.

Kinetic‐Directed Thermodynamic Repair Enables the Synthesis of High‐Strain 2D Sub‐Stoichiometric COFs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
2D covalent organic frameworks are promising photocatalysts. Yet, precise synthesis of sub‐stoichiometric COFs remains challenging due to poor kinetic control. We propose a general strategy: tuning polymerization degree of kinetic intermediates via time or solvent polarity directs their thermodynamic repair into highly crystallization. Using [4+3]‐type

An analysis of the determinants of flood damages

open access: yes
In this paper we analyze mortality caused by 2,194 large flood events between 1985 and 2008 in 108 countries. Unlike previous studies that looked at natural-disaster mortality, we find that year-to-year changes in income and institutional determinants of

Visualization Methods for Simulation-based Natural Disaster Risk Assessments of Road Networks

open access: yes, 2017
Infrastructure managers are in charge of ensuring that infrastructure provides an acceptable level of service to society. To evaluate whether such a level of service can be maintained in the case of natural disasters, a generic risk assessment process was developed in the INFRARISK project.
