Initial study on natural fibers for use in concrete mixes as a sustainable materials alternative
Natural fibers are becoming a key point for the development of new concrete mixes because these fibers are recovered from residual biomass. In this paper, we focus on the natural fib‘ers found in the Metropolitan District of Quito, Ecuador.

On maximally totally real embeddings
We consider complex structures with totally real zero section of the tangent bundle. We assume that the complex structure tensor is real-analytic along the fibers of the tangent bundle.

Actuating and Sensing Composites of Liquid Crystal Elastomers and Poly(ionic liquid)s
Ionic conductive, mechanically tough, flexible, and stretchable filaments of a composite material comprising a liquid crystal elastomer and a poly(ionic liquid) are produced through 3D printing, which exhibit large actuation strain under stimulation and electrical resistance variation in response to deformation or environmental condition changes. Their

Nanosecond pulse laser texturing yields superhydrophobic and superhydrophilic AA2024 surfaces. Salt‐spray tests show that periodic superhydrophobic patterns suppress pitting, whereas superhydrophilic textures enhance it, linking laser‐induced morphology, wettability, and oxide chemistry to corrosion resistance.

Mechanical characterization of the green coconut fiber for application in the footwear industry [PDF]
In the tropical countries, the green coconut water consumption generates a great problem with the fruit \ud final destination. To minimize this problem, it is necessary to find applicability to the residues.

Neighbours of Einstein's Equations: Connections and Curvatures
Once the action for Einstein's equations is rewritten as a functional of an SO(3,C) connection and a conformal factor of the metric, it admits a family of ``neighbours'' having the same number of degrees of freedom and a precisely defined metric tensor ...

Parallel 3D Bioprinting on SLIPS‐Microarrays
This work introduces the first truly parallel 3D bioprinting method, enabling both the simultaneous fabrication of hundreds of cell laden hydrogel 3D structures and their HTS in individual liquid compartments. By integrating Digital Light Processing (DLP) stereolithography with functional micropatterns, the platform decouples printing time from array ...
