MnI‐Functionalized Covalent Organic Framework as Efficient Electrocatalyst for CO2 Reduction in a Catholyte‐Free Zero‐Gap Electrolyzer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates the successful integration of a phenanthroline‐based 2D COF with MnI catalytic sites into a catholyte‐free membrane‐electrode‐assembly cell for CO2 electroreduction. The crystalline COF actively suppresses Mn⁰–Mn⁰ dimerization, achieving a turnover frequency of 617 h⁻¹ at 2.8 V (full‐cell potential), and enabling stable operation.

Study on the determination method of excitation load in electrical signal simulation for piezoelectric ultrasonic internal inspection of pipelines

open access: yesScientific Reports
Accurately determining the initial acoustic field excitation load of a piezoelectric ultrasonic probe is essential for simulating electrical signals and calculating wall thickness during ultrasonic internal inspection of pipelines.

An Innovative High-Strength Double-Network Hydrogel for Use as a Drilling Fluid Plugging Agent

open access: yesGels
The problem of wellbore leakage is a key challenge in the petroleum industry, limiting drilling progress and increasing drilling costs. Plugging agents play a role in repairing leaks and fractures; however, traditional plugging materials generally have ...

A Review of Turkish Natural Gas Distribution Market [PDF]

open access: yes
In Turkey, natural gas consumption started at 0.5 bcm (billion cubic meters) in 1987 and reached approximately 35 bcm in 2007. Turkish natural gas usage is projected to further increase remarkably in coming years. In 2001, a reform process was started to

A bridge to a low carbon future? Modelling the long-term global potential of natural gas [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This project uses the global TIMES Integrated Assessment Model in UCL (‘TIAM-UCL’) to provide robust quantitative insights into the future of natural gas in the energy system and in particular whether or not gas has the potential to act as a ‘bridge’ to ...

Adiabatic approach for natural gas pipeline computations

open access: yes, 2017
We consider slowly evolving, i.e. ADIABATIC, operational regime within a transmission level (continental scale) natural gas pipeline system. This allows us to introduce a set of nodal equations of reduced complexity describing gas transients in injection/

Rational Fine‐Tuning of MOF Pore Metrics: Enhanced SO2 Capture and Sensing with Optimal Multi‐Site Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A pore tuning strategy to amplify the multi‐site MOF‐SO2 interactions is proposed to achieve an enhanced trace SO2 capture and chemiresistive sensing in highly stable isostructural DMOFs by annelating benzene rings. This work provides a facile strategy to achieve tailor‐made stable MOF materials for specific multifunctional applications.

Impact of the Microstructure of Polymer Drag Reducer on Slick-Water Fracturing

open access: yesGeofluids, 2017
Many studies have focused on the drag reduction performance of slick-water, but the microdrag reduction mechanism remains unclear since the microstructure of the drag reducer and its effect on this mechanism have not been well studied. In this study, the
