Natural Gas Engine Oil Development

SAE Technical Paper Series, 1991
<div class="htmlview paragraph">A natural gas engine oil must be designed and balanced in a proper way in order to be able to offer: excellent deposit control, superior oxidation and nitration control, extenden lubricant filter and engine life and reduced frecuency of shutdowns for main tenance.</div> <div class="htmlview paragraph"> ...

The Natural Gas Fueled Engine

1982
Currently Canada pays in excess of $7.5 million a day for oil imported from abroad. Use of an indigenous alternate fuel can reduce this national burden. An evaluation of the various options possible indicate that natural gases (NG) offer the most attractive alternative to imported oil as a vehicle fuel source.

Highly Efficient Natural Gas Engines

SAE Technical Paper Series, 2017
<div class="section abstract"><div class="htmlview paragraph">The 2020+ CO2 and regulated noxious emission limits will impose drastic technological choices. Even though in 2030 65% of road transportation vehicles will be still powered by internal combustion engines, a progressive increase of hybrids and battery ...

Combustion Analysis of a Natural Gas Engine

Design, Application, Performance and Emissions of Modern Internal Combustion Engine Systems and Components, 2003
A two-zone thermodynamic model was developed for a spark ignition natural gas engine. The model was used to calculate instantaneous mass burning rate and thermodynamic state of burned and unburned zones of the combustion chamber content. Cylinder pressure data was collected at various engine operating conditions.

Controlling emissions of natural gas engines

Proceedings of the Air and Waste Management Association's Annual Conference and Exhibition, 2017
The CENGE project focuses on characterization of gas engine emissions comprehensively and studies the effect of different techniques on the emission formation. In addition different emission measurement methods are studied. To mimic the emission matrix of 4 stroke medium speed gas engine a new test facility is developed.

Drilling With 100% Natural Gas Engines

SPE/IADC Drilling Conference and Exhibition, 2015
Abstract Antero Resources decided to convert the majority of its drilling operations from diesel to 100% natural gas fueled rigs in late 2012. By September 2014, ten of Antero's largest drill rigs were retrofitted with GE Waukesha rich-burn gas engines and fueled entirely by natural gas.

Replacing Natural Gas in a Gas–Gas Engine with Nuclear Fuel

2021
Building nuclear power is absolutely necessary for a number of reasons. (1) Nuclear power is a carbon-free source of electricity. It does not emit dust, sulfur compounds, nitrogen and carbon dioxide at all. It is therefore environmentally friendly. (2) Throughout the year it provides consumers with a stable supply of electricity, without which modern ...

Development of HCCI natural gas engines

Journal of Natural Gas Science and Engineering, 2011
Abstract The possibility of turbocharging into a natural gas homogeneous charge compression ignition (HCCI) engine is experimentally investigated. Experiments are performed using a naturally aspirated engine fitted with an external supercharger and a butterfly valve for back pressure control to simulate a turbocharger.

Natural Gas: A Promising Fuel for I.C. Engines

SAE Technical Paper Series, 1993
<div class="htmlview paragraph">Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) appears to be capable of performing a prominent role among alternative fuels. In fact, it costs less than other types of fuels, and it is very accessible in countries where there are existing distribution infrastructures.

Influences of Gas Quality on a Natural Gas Engine

SAE Technical Paper Series, 2001
<span class="label">1</span> <div class="htmlview paragraph">The topic of investigation of this work was the influence of different gas qualities on the engine parameters and particularly on the air excess factor λ. For this research the normalized gases with extreme compositions were used.</div> <div class="htmlview ...
