Application of Raman and Photoluminescence Spectroscopy to MgO‐C Refractories
Visible to near infrared luminescence of MgO is studied on MgO‐C bricks and nominally pure MgO powder, with focus on two similar sharp high‐intensity signals, at 699 and 871 nm, each surrounded by symmetrical sidebands. The nature of these sidebands is investigated by temperature‐dependent spectroscopic measurements, confirming phonon involvement by ...

Scandium (Sc)‐doped AlCoCrFeMo HEA coatings are fabricated via flame spraying with 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 wt% Sc additions. Among these, the HEA‐Sc0.3 coating exhibits the highest corrosion resistance, indicated by a more positive corrosion potential and lower current density.

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

DRIVERS OF NATURAL GAS PRICES IN EUROPEAN UNION
Natural gas is a key source of energy and an important industrial input in electricity generation. The three gas directives from the beginning of the 21st century liberalised the European gas market. They incentivised a switch from Oil Price Indexing to

Research on the construction of a natural gas price index in China
A natural gas price index (NGPI) can be used by stakeholders to comprehensively evaluate the natural gas market. At present, there is no NGPI to measure the volatility of China's entire natural gas market.

The dynamic interactions of world natural gas markets
The aim of this study is to analyse the short and long-term interactions between the natural gas markets in the context of Europe, Japan and the US that are the main constituents of natural gas consumption in the world and between the natural gas and oil markets.

Complementarity Problems in Restructured Natural Gas Markets [PDF]
The restructuring of the gas industry did not so far generate the same modeling activity as in electricity. While the literature of activity in electricity market models is now abundant, it is still rather scant on the gas side. This paper surveys some of the existing models and attempts to take advantage of the wealth of knowledge available in ...
