Fueling Tomorrow: Scenario Planning for the Future of Gas Stations

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Transport electrification is reshaping the service infrastructures that mediate everyday mobility, yet most electrification scenario studies remain macrolevel and offer limited insight into how incumbent forecourt (gas‐station) networks can adapt under deep uncertainty.

Modelling of gas pipeline networks: impact of hydrogen injection in natural gas infrastructures

open access: yes, 2007
Confronting more and more urgent today’s environmental challenges, such as the control of the discharges of the gas with greenhouse effect, and facing with the ever-increasing shortage in the fossil resources, the radical changes in energy policies seem now inevitable.

LNG in the Northwestern Coast of Mexico: Impact on Prices of Natural Gas in Both Sides of the US-Mexico Border [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper studies the possible impacts of LNG projects on natural gas prices in both sides of the US-Mexico border in California. In California, gas prices are high and the demand is expected to grow.

The Future of Foundation Machine Learning Potentials and DFT in Homogeneous Catalysis: Competition or Synergy?

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Machine‐learning potentials are increasingly taking on the exploratory tasks of homogeneous catalysis, enabling rapid conformer sampling and reaction‐space mapping. However, when selectivity depends on subtle electronic effects, electronic‐structure methods remain essential.

In‐situ asphaltene capture with iron oxide nanoparticles in steam‐assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) for improved recovery and partial upgrading of bitumen

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
Key improvements obtained by incorporating nanoparticles into a lab‐scale SAGD process configuration. The bar plots show enhanced oil recovery, reduced viscosity, and increased asphaltene adsorption in nanoparticle‐assisted scenarios compared with conventional SAGD.
