Natural Resources, Innovation, and Growth [PDF]
This paper investigates the connection between resource abundance and innovation, as a transmission mechanism that can elucidate part of the resource curse hypothesis; i.e. the observed negative impact of resource wealth on income growth. We develop a variation of the Ramsey-Cass-Koopmans model with endogenous growth to explain the phenomenon.

THE NATURE OF THE GROWTH RATE [PDF]
1. The growth rate of organisms may be considered as a chemical reaction which gives the mature organism as its end-product. The organism grows at a definite rate which is, at any moment, proportional to the amount of growth yet to be made. 2. Shoots of young pear trees measured at weekly intervals during the growing season showed a rate

An alternative approach to partial regularity of quasilinear elliptic systems with VMO coefficients
In this paper, we provide an alternative approach to partially Hölder continuity of some quasilinear elliptic systems with discontinuous coefficients under natural growth.

Since 1992, Romania's population declined every year naturally, the number of deaths being higher than live births. If in Bacau until 2002 we had to deal with natural growth of the population, even if increasingly less, starting that year it emerged more

Study of the method of spinal cord neuron culture in Sprague–Dawley rats
This study aimed to explore the method of culture of spinal cord neurons (SPNs) in vitro and to provide prerequisites for studying the molecular mechanism and pharmacological mechanism of spinal cord injury and repair. The spinal cord tissues of neonatal

The utilization of terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) data for forest inventory purposes has increasingly gained recognition in the past two decades. Volume estimates from TLS data are usually derived from the integral of cross-section area estimates along

RENEWABLE NATURAL RESOURCES AND ENDOGENOUS GROWTH [PDF]
We study the sustainability of long-run growth in a two-sector economy where a renewable natural resource is exploited under private property rights. We obtain short- and long-run growth trajectories in closed form, examine transitional dynamics, and characterize convergence properties.

Several studies have recommended the incorporation of environmental fluctuations in indoor experiments if closer-to-natural results in plant experiments are desired. Previous authors have suggested that if these fluctuations are not applied in synchrony,
