Hydrogen production from natural gas and hydrogen sulphide

International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, 1991
Abstract A promising method for hydrogen production from the reaction of hydrogen sulphide and methane is studied. The equilibrium composition of the gaseous mixture CH 4 /H 2 S/H 2 /CS 2 /S 2 /C 2 H 6 /C 2 H 4 is calculated over a temperature range of 973 to 1098 K under 0.1 MPa pressure.

Purification of hydrogen from natural gas/hydrogen pipeline mixtures

Separation and Purification Technology, 2022
Abstract There is an increasing global attention toward hydrogen as a green energy carrier, primarily because of the environmental concerns associated with global warming issues. It is expected that the produced hydrogen from various sources may be injected to the natural gas grid for economical transportation and use.

Natural Hydrogen in South Australia

PESA News, 2023
Natural hydrogen exploration become possible in South Australia on 11 February 2021 via regulatory changes to include hydrogen as a ‘regulated substance’ under the Petroleum and Geothermal Energy Act 2000. South Australia has attracted interest from explorers because it is the only Australian jurisdiction currently with a licensing regime in place and ...

Natural gas – synergies with hydrogen

Proceedings of the Institution of Civil Engineers - Energy, 2015
Hydrogen represents a valuable energy carrier. It has the potential to contribute strategically to future energy requirements in an environmentally responsible manner when produced using new low-emission production technology. It is important that hydrogen production, conversion and storage technologies can reach techno-economically and ...

Intelligent Hydrogen Gas Monitoring in Natural Gas/Hydrogen Blending

Offshore Technology Conference, 2022
Abstract Hydrogen energy is a viable solution for reducing society's dependence on fossil fuels and decarbonizing several energy sectors such as solar, wind, and nuclear. One method actively being pursued to phase hydrogen into the energy sector is natural gas/hydrogen (NG/H2) blending.

On the Nature of Hydrogen–Hydrogen Bonding

2017
This chapter reviews the recent experimental and computational evidence that support the concept of “hydrogen–hydrogen (or H–H) bonding” which involves the interaction of two neutral hydrogen atoms or two hydrogen atoms bearing charges of the same sign, as a new class of weak interactions. The H–H bonding interaction gains importance due to its utility

Hydrogenation of epoxidized natural rubber

Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 1993
AbstractThe thermal properties of epoxidized natural rubber (ENR) have been found to improve upon hydrogenation in a solution phase, in the presence of a homogeneous catalyst, at 50°C. The hydrogenated ENR shows higher Tmax values in the DTG scan and, upon aging, the change in carbonyl concentration is less as compared to that of ENR, as detected by IR

Natural Hydrogen Knowledge Platform: Introduction to Natural Hydrogen Research

Natural hydrogen, also known as geologic, native, gold, and white hydrogen, is a primary energy source with the potential to feed a future society with increasing hydrogen demand. Its multiple generation processes hint at a wide geographic distribution of generation potential, which can supply low-emission energy to off-grid communities and supplement ...
