NLI4DB: A Systematic Review of Natural Language Interfaces for Databases [PDF]
As the demand for querying databases in all areas of life continues to grow, researchers have devoted significant attention to the natural language interface for databases (NLIDB). This paper presents a comprehensive survey of recently proposed NLIDBs.

NLOMJ--Natural Language Object Model in Java [PDF]
In this paper we present NLOMJ--a natural language object model in Java with English as the experiment language. This modal describes the grammar elements of any permissible expression in a natural language and their complicated relations with each other with the concept "Object" in OOP(Object Oriented Programming).

Lexical Flexibility, Natural Language, and Ontology [PDF]
The Realist that investigates questions of ontology by appeal to the quantificational structure of language assumes that the semantics for the privileged language of ontology is externalist.

Ontologies for FAIR Data in Additive Manufacturing: A Use Case‐Based Evaluation
An ontology‐based approach for generating findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable data in additive manufacturing is explored, focusing on powder bed fusion. The article highlights the benefits of enhanced data findability and digital twin enablement, while addressing challenges like data integration complexity and the need for specialized ...

Towards Structural Natural Language Formalization: Mapping Discourse to Controlled Natural Language [PDF]
The author describes a conceptual study towards mapping grounded natural language discourse representation structures to instances of controlled language statements. This can be achieved via a pipeline of preexisting state of the art technologies, namely natural language syntax to semantic discourse mapping, and a reduction of the latter to controlled ...

KupferDigital: Ontology‐Based Digital Representation for the Copper Life Cycle
It is demonstrated how data from different stages in the life cycle of a copper product can be stored in an ontology‐based data space. In order to showcase the methods and tools used in the project, four use cases are presented that show how data from different sources can be semantically described and queried from a shared data space.

The Controlled Natural Language of Randall Munroe's Thing Explainer [PDF]
It is rare that texts or entire books written in a Controlled Natural Language (CNL) become very popular, but exactly this has happened with a book that has been published last year. Randall Munroe's Thing Explainer uses only the 1'000 most often used words of the English language together with drawn pictures to explain complicated things such as ...

Nonlinearity and Domain Switching in a 3D‐Printed Architected Ferroelectric
By combining functional properties measurement with in situ 2D X‐ray microdiffraction experiments, it is shown that nonlinear polarization and strain responses of a 3D‐printed architected ferroelectric are driven by localized progression of domain switching, which depends on nonuniform electric‐field distribution as well as evolving stress fields.
