Some natural zero one laws for ordinals below ε0 [PDF]
We are going to prove that every ordinal α with ε_0 > α ≥ ω^ω satisfies a natural zero one law in the following sense. For α

This study reports lightweight polyetherimide triply periodic minimal surfaces lattices coated with carbon nanotube‐reinforced epoxy that combine mechanical robustness with self‐sensing. The conformal coating enhances stiffness, strength and energy absorption while enabling reliable strain monitoring.

Wills and natural laws: freedom and determinism in comtean positivism
In Social Sciences, “Positivism” in general implies naturalism, objectivism and naturalism. To Comte Positivism, however, natural laws are compatible with subjectivity and historicism, because: (1) human intervention in reality is presupposed; (2 ...

A novel workflow for investigating hydride vapor phase epitaxy for GaN bulk crystal growth is proposed. It combines Design of experiments (DoE) with physical simulations of mass transport and crystal growth kinetics, serving as an intermediate step between DoE and experiments.

Hierarchical Scaling in Systems of Natural Cities
Hierarchies can be modeled by a set of exponential functions, from which we can derive a set of power laws indicative of scaling. The solution to a scaling relation equation is always a power law.

Data-driven discovery of the heat equation in an induction machine via sparse regression [PDF]
Discovery of natural laws through input-output data analysis has been of considerable interest during the past decade. Various approach among which the increasingly growing body of sparsity-based algorithms have been recently proposed for the purpose of ...

Is there an overriding principle of nature, hitherto overlooked, that governs all population behavior? A single principle that drives all the regimes observed in nature - exponential-like growth, saturated growth, population decline, population extinction, oscillatory behavior?

Enhanced Strength and Corrosion Resistance of Ti‐13Nb‐12Ta‐10Zr‐4Sn Alloy by Aging Treatment
This work systematically investigates the effect of aging treatment on mechanical properties and corrosion behavior of vacuum arc‐melted Ti‐13Nb‐12Ta‐10Zr‐4Sn alloy. Owing to the increased α″ martensite, strength and corrosion resistance were significantly enhanced by aging treatment.
