New Treatment Strategy and Future Research Direction for BRAF‐Mutated Cancer

Treatment with BRAF inhibitor plus MEK inhibitor is currently used in BRAF‐mutated various malignancies except colorectal cancer, and treatments with BRAF and/or MEK inhibitors and anti‐EGFR antibody are used in BRAF‐mutated colorectal cancer. Despite recent advances in BRAF‐targeted therapies, their efficacy is still limited.

A live‐cell autophagy reporter reveals reversible vacuolation in naked mole‐rat skin fibroblasts under lysosomal stress

A tandem fluorescent mCherry–EGFP–LC3 reporter enables live‐cell visualisation of autophagy–lysosome dynamics in naked mole‐rat skin fibroblasts. Chloroquine‐induced lysosomal stress promotes accumulation of neutral LC3‐positive compartments and triggers pronounced LC3‐associated vacuolation.

Auxin response and PIN‐mediated transport in chlorophyte algae

Like multicellular plants, green algae respond to auxin and move it across their cells. However, their PIN‐like proteins do not act like plant auxin exporters, suggesting that basic auxin transport evolved early and specialized directional transport appeared later in plant evolution.
