Atmospheric fluxes of radionuclides on monthly time-scale in Málaga (Spain) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
.- Bulk atmospheric deposition of gamma radionuclides ( 7Be, 210Pb and 40K ) has been measured at Málaga (4º 28´80′′ W; 36º 43′ 40′N) at a coastal Mediterranean station in the south of Spain, from January 2005 through December 2012 for monthly ...

f‐Block Element‐Based MOF Thin Films: A Platform for Luminescence, Sensing, and Energy Applications

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
f‐Block element–based metal–organic framework (f‐MOF) thin films offer exceptional potential for luminescent, sensing, and energy‐related applications. This review surveys recent progress in their synthesis, characterization, and functional implementation, emphasizing the diversity of available thin‐film fabrication strategies. The convergence of these

Vertical distribution of natural radionuclides in soils

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2012
Low-level alpha spectrometry techniques using semiconductor detectors (PIPS) and liquid scintillation counters (LKB Quantulus 1220™) were used in order to determine the activity concentration of 238U, 232Th, 234U, 230Th, 226Ra, and 210Pb in soil samples.

RADIATION EXPOSURE FROM NATURAL RADIONUCLIDES IN BUILDING MATERIALS

open access: yesRadiation Protection Dosimetry, 2018
Abstract Building materials from Iberian Peninsula (Portugal and Spain) were collected and analysed for 226Ra, 232Th and 40K using HPGe gamma-ray spectrometers. The results show that the highest mean value of 226Ra and 232Th activities are 2168 and 390 Bq kg−1, respectively, measured in zircon.

Coastal evolution, environmental change and carbon storage in the Thung Prong Thong Mangrove, eastern Gulf of Thailand

open access: yesBoreas, EarlyView.
Palaeoenvironmental records along the eastern coast of Thailand remain sparse, with only a few studies attempting to reconstruct past climatic and environmental conditions. However, additional palaeoenvironmental, palaeoclimatic and sea‐level records are needed to improve our understanding of coastal evolution and local environmental changes.

Unnatural Amino Acid and Emerging Chemistry Approaches to Map RNA–Protein Interactions

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 6, 2 February 2026.
This review highlights emerging chemistries for mapping RNA–protein interactions, including genetically encoded unnatural amino acids, novel photocrosslinkers, and non‐photoactivatable crosslinking systems. We compare their mechanisms, reactivity and applications, outlining how these next‐generation tools enable higher‐resolution, site‐specific ...

Refining the timing of Middle Pleistocene (MIS 12 to MIS 6) ice advances into northern central Europe: sedimentological analysis and single‐grain luminescence dating of glaciotectonic complexes and tunnel‐valley fills

open access: yesBoreas, EarlyView.
We summarize the current state of knowledge on the age of the Middle Pleistocene ice advances into northern central Europe and provide 25 new single‐grain feldspar luminescence ages of Elsterian and Saalian glacigenic sediments to constrain the age of the ice advances and their tentative correlation with marine isotope stages/substages.

Examining the Role of Artificial Intelligence in Assessment: A Comparative Study of ChatGPT and Educator‐Generated Multiple‐Choice Questions in a Dental Exam

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Dental Education, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aim To compare the item difficulty and discriminative index of multiple‐choice questions (MCQs) generated by ChatGPT with those created by dental educators, based on the performance of dental students in a real exam setting. Materials and Methods A total of 40 MCQs—20 generated by ChatGPT 4.0 and 20 by dental educators—were developed based on ...
