Preparation of a superabsorbent polymer and exploration of its properties [PDF]
Natural polymers (from the Greek poly meaning “many” and meros meaning “parts”) are found in many forms such as horns of animals, tortoise shell, shellac (from the lac beetle), rosin (from pine trees), asphalt, and tar from distillation of organic ...

Dielectric study of electrolyzed rubber [PDF]
Rubber was produced by placing rubber latex between two electrodes between which an external voltage was maintained. The thickness of the rubber deposited on the anode was measured as a function of time of electrolysis, voltage applied across the ...

Understanding of the dynamic structure of unvulcanized NR : an essential step to address its quality variability [PDF]
The first part of this presentation is a visit of the different structural levels of raw natural rubber. The second aims to show that those structures are continuously changing along the way that transforms the latex exuding from the tree to the raw ...

This Finnish registry study shows that concomitant occupational asthma and rhinitis are common in patients with occupational contact urticaria or protein contact dermatitis, often sharing the same exposure. When evaluating occupational immediate allergy, both skin and airway symptoms should be considered.

Disposable glove reuse reduced chemical protection during repeated hair‐dye exposure. Under ASTM F739 testing, natural‐rubber‐latex deteriorated rapidly after one reuse, whereas neoprene performed better initially but also declined over repeated cycles. Wash type had no significant effect. These findings support single‐use only and discourage the reuse
