Ideal Molecular Sieving with a Dense MOF for Helium Upgrading with Highly Diffusion Selective Mixed Matrix Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.

A Pluto–Charon Sonata. V. Long-term Stability of the HST State Vector

open access: yesThe Planetary Science Journal
We analyze a new set of ∼275 n -body calculations designed to place limits on the masses of the small circumbinary satellites in the Pluto–Charon system. Together with calculations reported in previous papers, we repeat that a robust upper limit on

Environmental factors affecting the formation and occurrence of natural hazards rural settlements Silakhor Plains in Lorestan Province [PDF]

open access: yesمخاطرات محیط طبیعی, 2016
In principle, the appearance of a village more than anything is dependent upon the environmental conditions and geographical position. Thus identifying the environmental factors which influence the formation of rural habitats is highly important.

Intermolecular Interactions as Driving Force of Increasing Multiphoton Absorption in a Perylene Diimide‐Based Coordination Polymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study uncovers the unexplored role of intermolecular interactions in multiphoton absorption in coordination polymers. By analyzing [Zn2tpda(DMA)2(DMF)0.3], it shows how the electronic coupling of the chromophores and confinement in the MOF enhance two‐and three‐photon absorption.

Conditions for Accretion Favoring an Unmelted Callisto and a Differentiated Ganymede

open access: yesThe Planetary Science Journal
Analysis of Callisto’s moments of inertia, derived from Galileo’s gravity data, suggests that its structure is not fully differentiated. This possibly undifferentiated state contrasts sharply with the globally molten state inferred in its counterpart ...

Variation of Ice Microphysical Properties With Temperature and Humidity at Tops of Convective Clouds

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, 2021
A better understanding of the many interacting processes governing the evaluation of ice in natural clouds is required to improve the representation of ice clouds in global circulation models.

3D (Bio) Printing Combined Fiber Fabrication Methods for Tissue Engineering Applications: Possibilities and Limitations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...
